Many types of fruit wines similar to “Grandma’s” wines are lovingly created here. Some are made from ancestor’s recipes. Visitors to the winery are invited to roam about the farm. There are farm animals of all types, thousands of fruit trees, increasing numbers of grape vines, creeks, ponds, and a picnic area. These and gracious hosts makes this winery uniquely suited to family visits.
Even before the founding of Bedford County the ancestors of the present day owners-operators were tilling the land, planting orchards, groves, vineyard; and serving the public with fruits, produce, and spirits. It was only a natural outgrowth of this legacy that this fifth generation farm develop a winery in 1995. It is owned and operated by Danny and Nancy Johnson with the assistance of their son Shannon and wife, Sharlene, who live on the farm and the encouragement of their son Dan and wife, Kristin, who live in Seattle.
