This lovely fountain is located in what is known as Memorial Park, commemorating a World War II "secret" endeavor, which didn't become public knowledge until 1944.

On the southeast corner of E Street Southwest and Main Street, next to the Chamber of Commerce is Memorial Park, a memorial to a World War II project where, in 1943, the U.S. sent oil patch workers to drill oil wells in England, for the War effort, which probably saved England from defeat.
In front of this memorial is this lovely fountain. The fountain sits in a rectangular pool bordered by 3 ft. high pink and black polished granite wall. The fountain is made of a round-topped call of rock slabs, out of which water bubbles forth (much like oil, I guess). The effect is beautiful.
