Imagine our delight when visiting Whittington Park in Ardmore, when we walked over to this monument to see what it was!

On the southwest side of the park, the Woodmen of the World erected a granite monument to describe the history of this park. Parking is available at the intersection of G Street SE and Lake Murray Drive. To the east of the splashpad there is a walkway across the grass to a stone obelisk about 6 ft. high on which is inscribed:
