Whittington Park, on the southeast side of Ardmore, was established in 1902, long before splashpads were ever even thought of. Over the years, various items were added to the Park's facilities, including tennis and basketball courts, playground equipment, and now, an up-to-date splashpad.
The splashpad is located on the west side of the park, at the intersection of G Street SE and Lake Murray Drive. It is a large concrete circle. It is open Mon-Sat: 11:00-8:00 and Sunday 1:00-8:00 May 1st to October 1st. The pad is activated, as needed, by pressing a button.
Nearby is a covered pavilion for use by the splashers and family.
