Bath's Post Office occupied 8 Broad Street in 1821-54. From here the first adhesive postage stamps in the world were franked and sent in 1840. The current building dates from 1923-7. The actual Post Office now occupies the end of the building on the junction of Broad Street and Green Street (BA1 1AJ)
