This piece depicts a "man" holding a "child" high above his head. Their heads are together with their arms extended and hands clasped as the child does a handstand above the man's head.
The sculpture, standing in front of the Goddard Center Art Studios is made of welded tanks, tailpipe and various sized cogs.
A weathered metal sign reads: "An original sculpture by Freeman Loughridge "ACROBATS" " and shows the sculptor's website (which does not appear to be active.) Freeman Loughridge (8/1/1917 - 9/12/1996) was a Corporal in the Marine Corps in World War II.
