From the National Register of Historic Places: "The old YWCA Building was the first permanent home for the Riverside YWCA. It was used by the YWCA until 1966 when it was sold to the Riverside Art Center and Museum and became the first permanent home of that organization. The lot for the building was donated by Frank Miller. The building itself was designed by Julia Morgan, a major California architect. It ranks as one of her more important buildings in Southern California." (visit link)
