"The first train of the San Pedro, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake Railroad arrived at this station from Los Angeles on March 12, 1904. From Riverside the line followed the Mormon Trail to connect with the Union Pacific in Salt Lake. The Mission Revival station remains one of the finest examples of the style in the state."
