This pillar box bearing the VR insignia is designed in an ornate hexagonal style.

It is situated on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth just a few hundred yards west of the Forth Bridge and east of the centre of Queensferry on the B924 Newhalls Road next to numerous parking spaces mainly for visitors to view the bridge.

The box is showing signs of wear and tear mainly near the bottom, although is in reasonable condition considering the exposed location.
