During the Napoleonic Wars it
was equipped with one 18-pounder
cannon mounted on its roof.
The original first floor doorway
is intact, but an additional later
doorway on the ground floor has
been blocked and rendered.
Today it is painted red on the
seaward side as anavigation mark.
It is in private ownership.

Ouaisne Tower etait aussi apelee Le Tour
du Hoinet et Saint-Brelade no 1. Bien que
nous ne sachions pas exactement quand elle
fut construite, on pense qu'elle date des
annees 1780. Pendant les guerres
napoleoniennes, elle etait equipee d'un
canon de dix-huit monte sur le toit. La porte
d'origine du premier etage est intacte, mais
celle ajoutee ensuite au rez-de-chaussee fut
bloquee et platree.
Aujourd'huii elle est peinte en rouge du cote
de la mer pour servir d'aide a la navigation.
