EN: This wooden cross stands next to the lowest hairpin bend of the road from Fürgangen to Bellwald, where also several hiking trails meet.
The cross is about four meters high has a metal-coated canopy. On the side arms is engraved: "There is only one way which is imminent to all men without exception." Otherwise, it has no further ornaments and is neither dated.
In front of the cross, there is a wooden bench with an engraved forest scene on the back and the information that you are here at 1260 m above sea level.
DE: Dieses Holzreuz steht neben der untersten Haarnadelkurve der Strasse von Fürgangen nach Bellwald, wo auch mehrere Wanderwege zusammentreffen.
Das Kreuz ist rund vier Meter hoch hat ein metallbeschichtetes Schutzdach. Auf den Seitenarmen ist eingraviert: "Es gibt nur einen Weg, welcher allen Menschen ohne Ausnahme bevorsteht." Sonst hat es keine weiteren Verzierungen und ist auch nicht datiert.
Vor dem Kreuz steht eine Holzbank mit einer gravierten Waldszene an der Lehne und der Angabe, dass man sich auf 1260 m.ü.M. befindet.
