In Grafton, along Illinois Route 100, is the Pere Marquette State Park, with a visitor center that has a 3D map display of the park and vicinity.
The entrance is on the east side of the road, just north of a sharp bend in the road as it follows the Illinois River. The visitor center is at a sign by the road, and is set back at the end of a large parking lot.
The map is in the display room, next to the information desk. It is square and has amazing details. The map is mostly of Pere Marquette State Park, with park features pointed out, including this visitor center and the lodge next door. Also, to the right, near the eastern edge of the park, is a modeling of the merging of the Illinois River with the Mississippi River. You can see the islands that separate the two channels until you react the center of Grafton.
