Right beside the Princes Highway (aka Main Street) is this GRAND Catholic Church, that is almost more representative of Cathedral status, than the one at Sale.

The main reason that this looks so much like a Cathedral when you respectfully walk into it, is the extensive artwork by Francesco Floreani between 1931 and 1938. Father Crenin is understood to have paid him £3 a week out of his pocket. [Money MORE than WELL spent!]
" The comprehensive interior decorative scheme is of murals depicting the apostles, numerous saints, imaginings of purgatory, heaven and hell, and numerous seraphims and cherubims... The content of his murals were probably at least partly directed by Father Cremin, and are in flat, stylised manner, possibly inspired by Renaissance religious art." (

On the Church's website there is a video that can be watch (first three and a half minutes) that shows some of the repair work that is required at the moment. It well displays the beauty of the Church. Please watch it Full Screen!
