Theater built in 1861 by the architect Fisbach on the site of an old market hall. The new building retains the use as a hall for its ground floor and installs a performance hall on the floor, built in 1865.
The decor is in neo-Renaissance style. The capitals with the lyre decor evoke the spectacle, while the ears of wheat allude to the wheat market on the ground floor.
The back part was enlarged in 1906. At that time, the hall was suppressed and the interior was taken over to install a large theater room throughout the space (floor and ground floor).
The work is carried out by the Parisian architect Ferrant. Three successive decors have been made: one in 1906, another around 1920-1930 with motifs of garlands of flowers and masks, and the present decoration which dates from the Second World War.

Théâtre construit en 1861 par l'architecte Fisbach à l'emplacement d'une ancienne halle. Le nouveau bâtiment conserve l'utilisation sous forme de halle pour son rez-de-chaussée et installe une salle de spectacle à l'étage, aménagée en 1865.
Le décor est de style néo-Renaissance. Les chapiteaux avec le décor de lyre évoquent le spectacle, alors que les épis de blé font allusion à la halle au blé du rez-de-chaussée.
La partie arrière a été agrandie en 1906. A cette époque, la halle est supprimée et l'intérieur est repris pour y installer une grande salle de théâtre sur toute la hauteur de l'espace (étage et rez-de-chaussée).
Les travaux sont réalisés par l'architecte parisien Ferrant. Trois décors successifs ont été réalisés : un en 1906, un second vers 1920-1930 avec des motifs de guirlandes de fleurs et de masques, et le décor actuel qui date d'après la Seconde guerre mondiale.
