This wooden warning sign tells drivers to look out for red squirrels on Panmure Road at the southern entrance to the village of Monikie in Angus.
The red squirrel has become an endangered species in this part of Scotland and this home-made sign has been constructed in the style of a UK road warning sign with a silhouette of a squirrel within the red triangle.
The sign is situated on the left (west) hand side of the wooded unclassified road which leads into Monikie from the B961 road to the south.
