The grave of Union soldier Pvt. Seth Franklin Prior, who was killed at the Battle of Antietam in Sharpsburg, MD, is located in the Town Street Cemetery, on US Route 5, in East Windsor, CT.

The grave of S. Franklin Prior is marked by a marble headstone with a relief image of a waving flag in a circular recess in the top of the monument. He enlisted on August 11, 1862 and was mustered into the 16th Regiment Connecticut Volunteers on August 24, 1862. He was killed just one month later. He is interred next to his wife who died in 1930. The grave marker is inscribed:
