Die Plassenburg ist eine von Befestigungen der Renaissancezeit umgebene Höhenburg über der oberfränkischen Stadt Kulmbach. Als eines der imposantesten und größten Renaissancebauwerke Deutschlands galt sie über lange Zeit als Vorbild im Festungsbau und ist heute das Wahrzeichen der Stadt.
