This part of Yorkshire is very flat rural land. By English standards it has a number of large wheat fields (compared to other parts of the world they are probably quite small).

The fields tend have barns of a simple design to store the hay after it has been cut and dried.

This particular barn is very close to the River Ouse, alongside which is a public footpath. A barbed wire fence separates the footpath from the barn and the field, so although it's not possible to get right up to the barn, it is clearly visible.
Construction: Combination

Is this a 'working' barn?: Hay Barn (used to store hay or grains)

Distinctive Features: Other (describe below)

Other Distinctive Features:
The barn is of a simple construction but has shutter doors at each end allowing the hay to be loaded/unloaded from either end.
