This small lion statue can be found topping off the First World War memorial at Menmuir, north of the town of Brechin in the Angus Countryside.
Like the rest of the mainly square structure, the statue is made of Aberdeenshire granite and is situated at a fork junction of two minor roads near the cottages at Tigerton.
The memorial was unveiled by Captain Scott Erskine in May 1921 as a tribute to the men of Menmuir who lost their lives.
