Costa Teguise is located on the east coast of the island of Lanzarote. Las Cucharas beach has white sand, is 650 metres long and is bordered by gardens and a promenade with many bars and shops.
It has areas which are reserved for those wishing to take up the water sports on offer such as surfing, windsurfing and scuba diving as well as a pedal boat hiring service.
The northern part of the beach is ideal for families with young children, sun beds and umbrellas are not available to hire there but the riprap protects it from the sea and the calm water is ideal for paddling and swimming.
There are various entrances to the beach from the promenade which provide easy access for all. The coordinates given are for an entrance from Av Arenas Blancas near to the public toilet block and and close to Las Cucharas shopping centre.
Parking is available in the parking area outside the Cucharas shopping and commercial centre.
Life saving equipment is available at this beach.
The beach is especially clean and has been awarded the Blue Flag for safety, cleanliness and environmental friendliness.
