The double arched stone bridge crosses the barranco on Playa las Cucharas Promenade. Barrancos are the usually dry river beds, where excess rainwater is carried down to the sea at various points around the island.
Work to renovate the paseo marítimo along the main beach of Playa Las Cucharas in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote took place in 2013. The initial work focussed on the bridge over the barranco situated between C.C. Las Cucharas and C.C. Las Maretas. (
