The church of Saint-Laurent was built in the 1st quarter of the 16th century, in 1506, in the Persistence of the Flamboyant Gothic

The date is visible outside, on the third mullion of the window of the arm of the north transept. The church was built in the period when Rene II of Lorraine was Baron of Eclaron.

In 1619, the church is enlarged from a western porch. It is in fact the death chapel of the Comitin family.

The lateral doors of this chapel were walled in 1843 and are replaced by the opening of the present great arcade.

The bell tower was built in 1856-1857 by Pierre David, of Nomécourt, on the plans of the architect Wassy Jean-Baptiste Couvreux. The previous wooden bell-tower had been destroyed by fire on 25 April 1811.
