"RÜNGSDORF. Die Marienkapelle erstrahlt im neuen Glanz. Wie der Kirchenvorstand des Rheinviertels mitteilt, konnte kürzlich die Renovierung der beliebten Kapelle abgeschlossen werden. Der im Rheinviertel ortsansässige Dachdeckerbetrieb Roberz hat die Patenschaft über die Kapelle übernommen und mit seinen Mitarbeitern ehrenamtlich die Renovierung des Gebäudes durchgeführt.

Nach mehreren Vandalismus- und Raubanschlägen war der Innenraum der Gnadenkapelle in einem schlechten Zustand und eine Innensanierung unvermeidbar geworden. [...]
Picken bezeichnet es als vorbildlich, dass sich ein Godesberger Unternehmen von sich aus so großzügig für den Erhalt eines kirchlichen Gebäudes einbringt. [...]
Viele Beter und Zufluchtsuchende werden es danken, dass die Kapelle sich nun wieder so tadellos präsentiert. Jeden Tag besuchen zahlreiche Menschen die Rüngsdorfer Madonna und entzünden am Gnadenbild eine Kerze in ihren Anliegen. Ehrenamtliche Helfer betreuen die Kapelle liebevoll."

The roofer's company of Roberz has taken over the godparenthood about the chapel and has carried out the renovation of the building in an honourary capacity.
