At the entry to the Knob Recreation Reserve a little southeast of Stratford is the electrically operated gate, that is Solar Powered.

There are two mid-sized elevated panels on a square steel post, just inside the Reserve, that supply the power for the 'pool fence' that operates in a sliding fashion. [There is also a cattle grid on the outside of the gate.
If entering The Knob Reserve in your vehicle, be aware that the electric gate could automatically close at 6.30 pm (9.30 pm in Daylight Saving Times), and only open again at 6.30 am the next morning! The sign to the left of the entry has the following advice: For emergencies dial 000.
