There are two 'sad' looking lions, on brown brick pillars inside the entry to The Knob Recreation Reserve southeast of Stratford.

The crouching lions are of modest size, and are now a grey colour. The one on the north side looks like it may have had its face shot at. The square brick pillars stand about 1.2 to 1.4 metres high, and separated from each by about 10 metres with the dirt track that leads out The Knob oval and Lookout.
