This Orientation Table must have been placed before 1966, as the distances are noted as "M", for 'Miles'. It has great views over the Avon River.

Going from 'North', clockwise, the places identified, and distances, are:

- North
* Dargo 37 M
* Bairnsdale 30 M
* Lakes Entrance 46 M
- East
* Lake Wellington (Marlay Point) 10 M
* East Sale 8 M
- South
* Sale 9 M
* Wilsons Promontory 100 M
* Latrobe Valley (Morwell) 45 M
- West
* Melbourne 117 M
* Maffra 7 M
* Mt Erica 44 M
* Glenmaggie Reservoir 20 M
* Ben Druachan 22 M
* Mt. Wellington 35 M

Access: through the gates of The Knob Recreation Reserve on Old Redbank Road, continue through on Knob Reserve 'Road' (dirt track), past the oval, to the parking area near the information sign. Then walk up to the Lookout.
