This memorial stands on the north side of the Macon County Courthouse grounds in a small plaza with several other monuments and memorials nearby.
The monument consists of a single square grant granite carved in bas relief as follows:
"Erected by U.D.C. chapter 1407
to the memory of the Macon County soldiers of liberty in the World War of 1914-1918"
