This small Confederate Memorial stands on the north side of the Macon County Courthouse grounds in downtown Oglethorpe Georgia.
It was installed by the UDC during the Lost Cause era of the 1890s-1930s.
The memorial consists of a short block of gray granite carved on both sides in relief with "CSA" over a design of crossed "Stars and Bars" battle flags and crossed rifles. Between these designs the following words are carved in bas-relief:
