This tall lost cause era Confederate monument is located on the northwest corner of the Stewart County Courthouse in downtown Lumpkin, Georgia.

It was placed by the United daughters of the Confederacy in 1908.

The memorial consists of several gray granite blocks stacked as a plinth entitled "OUR SOLDIERS". On top of the plinth, gray granite obelisk just skyward, topped with a Confederate soldier standing at parade rest.

The inscriptions on the monument reads as follows:

Erected by Stewart County Chapter, U.D.C.
As a tribute of love and honor.
1908

[W side]

In memory of the brave Confederate soldiers of Stewart County, both those who fought and fell and those who fought and survived."
