A mosaic in a little side alley off West Street, Blandford Forum. Part of 'Tile Your Town' project 2016.

"a community collaboration called ‘Tile Your Town’. Absolutely anyone is welcome to join us in the creation of a panel of handmade tiles that will be used to decorate an unsightly bricked up doorway that currently greets visitors to the Blandford Forum town centre.

We will be fashioning a door from wet clay, slicing it into tiles and inviting you to take one and make it your own. You can be as creative as you like, using modelling techniques, tools and a rainbow of paint colours to create this brightly coloured mosaic mural. We will then take the door apart, dry it out and fire it in our kiln. The tiles will be reassembled in the doorway in all their painted and sculpted glory, ready for the grand unveiling which will take place on February the 13th.

We are also running a competition for you to enter with the chance of having a drawing of something you love about our town included as the centre piece to the mosaic."
