Le club de BMX de Longuenesse s’apprête à recevoir le Challenge France Nord Est cette année. Sa piste fait peau neuve, en attendant l’arrivée des 700 coureurs.

"Il faudra un mois de travail pour remodeler complètement la piste de BMX du club longuenessois. La société spécialisée calaisienne Pro Tracks, a gagné le marché, aidée pour les enrobés par la société Lefrançois TP.
« Le revêtement était complètement usé »
« Le revêtement était complètement usé, la piste démolie, la terre était redevenue apparente », rappelle le président du club, Steve Acart. Le reprofilage de la piste en schiste rouge va permettre un meilleur écoulement de l’eau et un drainage naturel. Les normes BMX seront respectées : le car port de départ a lui aussi été modifié pour plus de sécurité.
De nouvelles toilettes ont également été installées, tout sera prêt pour le Challenge France Nord Est des 13 et 14 mai. 700 pilotes sont attendus.
Coût des travaux : 70 000 euros, pris en charge par la ville."
