"Stierzeichen" by Volker-Johannes Trieb (1966*)from 1998 is a sculpture that combines abstract with figurative and silhouette. The two "bulls" are not unrecognizable, but need a little imagination.

I consider the title a pun - I don't know if Trieb does. "Stierzeichen" in the exact translation means "signs of/for bulls" but the association to the word "Tier(kreis)zeichen" is obvious. Tierkreiszeichen are zodiac signs of with the Taurus ist one and is directly translated to "Stier" in German.
