The Slavonice complex is an example of the fortified defence lines built by the Czechoslovak Republic in the years 1935-1938. It consists of a total of twelve sites restored to their original form, five of which are open to the public and during the presence of the managing institution are shown with period armour and installations. This major military technical monument is currently the only museum in the Jindrichuv Hradec area and the best exposition of this kind of light fortifications (type 37) in the Czech Republic.
