WWI memorial plaque in St Peter's church, Stoke Lyne.
A white stone tablet set within a moulded mottled marble frame. The inscription is in black lettering with a coloured medal-like crest at the top of the tablet.
Inscription -
TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN PROUD AND LOVING MEMORY OF/ HENRY SYDNEY CHARLES PEYTON M.C./ LT COLONEL 2ND RIFLE BRIGADE/ KILLED LEADING HIS BATTALION IN ACTION AT MORCHAIN FRANCE/ MARCH 24TH 1918./ AND OF/ (NAMES)/ 'GOD PROVED THEM AND FOUND THEM WORTHY FOR HIMSELF.'
