This memorial to the Upper Creek Indians who fought as allies with General Jackson at Horseshoe Bend against a rival faction of Lower Creeks known as the Red Sticks stands at the entrance to the Visitor Center at this interesting military park.
The plaque reads as follows:
"In memory of the Upper Creek warriors who died in combat with United States forces during the battle of Horseshoe Bend March 27, 1814"
