This "tank", or water tower, was one of two in Browning. With the demise of the hospital water tower it is now the only one in the town.

Surrounded by civic buildings and a church, the water tower is near the centre of the block on the north side of First Avenue Northwest and between First Street and Piegan Street. This is one of the really old style towers which were built in the 'teens, twenties and thirties. The roof of the tank is no longer red, but silver, like the rest of the tank and tower.
