Having suffered major damage sometime in the past, it's possible this elevator may not be with us for long. Though first observed by the U.S. Geological Survey in 1952, it's likely that the elevator itself is substantially older, possibly constructed in the 'teens or '20s. It was likely abandoned many years ago, though we noticed that the railway going past is still in service. The tracks were originally those of the Great Northern Railroad which, in 1970, became part of the the Burlington Northern Railroad and, in 1996, the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe.

There are no legible markings remaining on the elevator, making it difficult, if not impossible, to ascertain the identity of the company which built it.
Currently used as a grain elevator: no
