This benchmark was monumented in 1933 on the top step leading to the main entrance, at the far left rear (southeast) corner, less than a foot from the post office wall. As well as its designation, the elevation, 3921.600 feet, is also stamped on the disc.

ABOUT 0.2 MILE WEST ALONG THE GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY FROM THE STATION AT LEWISTOWN, THENCE 0.3 MILE SOUTHEAST ALONG 3RD AVENUE NORTH, IN SECTION 15, T 15 N, R 18 E, SET IN THE TOP OF THE SOUTHEAST END OF THE CONCRETE LANDING AT THE TOP OF THE STEPS LEADING TO THE NORTHEAST ENTRANCE TO THE POST OFFICE, 7 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST EDGE OF THE SOUTHEAST DOOR AT THE ENTRANCE, 0.6 FOOT SOUTHEAST OF THE IRON RAILING AROUND THE LANDING, 0.8 FOOT NORTHEAST OF THE NORTHEAST FACE OF THE BUILDING, AND ABOUT 4 FEET ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE SIDEWALK.
