The first Episcopal church in the town of Crieff was known as St.Michael's before the church was built on the current site in 1877 and named St. Columba's.

By the mid 1980s the building had become too large for its needs and also the tower had become unsafe, so it was decided to demolish it in 1986.

In its place was built the current building in a modern style. The building is multi-purpose and set among gardens on the main route out of the town centre heading towards Perth.
