This scaled down replica of the actual barn sits near the town of Leader tourist booth located on Hwy 21 and the corner of 5 Avenue East. The actual barn site is located km's North West of Leader.

Smith Barn
1914-1921
In 1914, W. T, Smith built the largest barn on the North American continent. The barn was built by a contractor from Brandon, Manitoba. The barn was 128 feet by 400 feet by 60 feet high.
Material used for construction:
875,000 Board feet of lumber (32 carloads)
One and one half carloads of nails
30,000 sacks of portland cement
60,000 square feet of galvanized roofing
Seven roof ventilators
The barn was dismantled in 1921 and all that remains today is the 24 inch foundation.
