This Automaton was opened by Councillor Pat Martin on 18th June 2005 to show our gratitiude to all those who helped make local glass and metalworking skills famous worldwide.
Funded by Dudley MBC
The "Stourbridge Lion" was built locally and was the first locomotive to run on track in America.
On the hour the glassworkers parade.
