"A two-light stained glass window with accompanying plaque. Each lancet light depicts a saint in armour standing on battlements with angels above, and the quatrefoil tracery contains a crown and star. The plain, horizontal oblong brass plaque is mounted at the foot of the left window reveal and has a thin line incised border and an inscription in upright decorative capital lettering coloured black with selected rubricated initials.

Plaque: TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN LOVING MEMORY OF/ WILLIAM EDWARD CLIFTON SMITH CAPTAIN THE SHER-/ -WOOD FORESTERS (DERBYSHIRE REGT) WHO WAS KILLED/ WHILE GALLANTLY LEADING HIS MEN AT THE STORMING/ OF DARGAI IN THE TIRAH CAMPAIGN OCT 20 1897 AGED 31/ THIS WINDOW WAS DEDICATED BY HIS MOTHER & RELATIONS"
