Narracan Creek rises from the hills northwest of Thorpdale, and flows into the Latrobe River (near Lake Narracan). This is in open farming country, so keep an eye out for a farmer on a tractor, or a herd of cows closing the road.

By the sign just before the bridge, it has a 20 tonne Gross Load Limit. While the Narracan 'Creek' is still quite small it was flowing quite well, as was evidenced at the Narracan Falls, less than a 100 metres away. The bridge has hard wood lengthwise slabs, that would be dangerous for a racing bicycle. These are bolted to bigger hardwood beams that are then supported moderate sized steel I-Beams for the 15 metre span of the bridge. It is 'finished' with a hardwood ledge, and supports for the armor-rail.
