The plaque on the granite obelisk reads:

"In memory of the men and women
who died serving the community
of Victoria whilst on duty
as members of Victoria Police"
While the obelisk itself was erected and dedicated in 1921, it was in a different position on the ANZAC Rd median, and moved to outside the Moe RSL. [Date moved, and placing of this plaque is unknown]
