At one fountain in the garden of the famous Hohenschwangau Castle in Hohenschwangau, Germany, Bayern are four lion statues located.

The fountain is called 'Löwenbrunnen' (Lions' Fountain).

The lions are made of sandstone.

The year of creation and the artist is unknown.
The castle and its garden was re-newed in the years 1833–1837. Maybe this is the year of creation of the fountain and its lions.
