This horse drawn buggy was once uses as a ambulance by the Massachusetts General Hospital. It is on permanent display inside the entrance to Thier Building on the main campus of the Massachusetts General Hospital.

This black, horse-drawn buggy, used to transporting doctors to the hospital to care for emergency patients, was purchased in 1888. The horse drawn buggy was replaced by an electric automobile 1900. In 1985 it was removed from storage and placed on display in the Thier Building.
