Le monument, est une base de plus de 3 m sur 3 m.
A l'avant, on peut lire "Hommage aux enfants de Rognes morts pour la France" puis deux colonnes, une dédiée à la guerre 1914-19158 et l'autre à la guerre 1939-1945. Les deux colonnes sont remplies avec les noms des soldats nés à Rognes décédés durant ces deux conflits.
Derrière et plus haut, on voit un "poilu" (nom donné aux soldat de la guerre 1914-1918). Encore derrière et toujours plus haut, au sommet d'une colonne, on voit un coq, symbole de la France

Note aux non-francophones. La mention "Hommage aux enfants de Rognes morts pour la France" ne signifie pas que les habitants ont envoyés les enfants se battre à leur place ou que des mineurs ont été exécutés par l'occupant. Ce mémorial est un mémorial militaire mais cette formule "aux enfants de ..." suivi du nom de la ville signifie qu'ils sont nés dans la ville.

The monument, is a base of more than 3 m by 3 m.
At the front, one can read "Homage to the children of Rognes dead for France" then two columns, one dedicated to the war 1914-19158 and the other to the war 1939-1945. The two columns are filled with the names of the soldiers born in Rognes who died during these two conflicts.
Behind and above, we see a ""poilu" (name given to soldier War years 1914-1918). Still behind and still higher, at the top of a column, we see a cock, symbol of France

Note to non-francophones. The mention " Tribute to children Rognes died for France " does not mean that people have sent children to fight for them or that minors were executed by the occupant. This memorial is a military memorial but this formula "to the children of ..." followed by the name of the city means that they were born in the city.
