The former Perth Girls School was opened on 11th September 1936 and is an example of Inter-War Stripped Classical style of architecture, the school closed in 1962 and the next year the W.A. Police Department moved in whilst awaitng the completion the their new headquarters in 1966, however the Police Traffic Branch remained until 2012/13, the building has been empty eversince.
