The New Church was designed in the Inter-War Gothic style constructed in 1940 of random coursed laterite from Darlington with stucco highlights around the doors, windows and under the eaves and a Marseilles pattern tiled roof,
The church is one of a small number built in Autralia for the New Church and the only one in W.A..
The Church is based on the teachings of Emanuel Swedenborg (1688 - 1772) a Swedish theologian.
The church moved elsewhere in recent years and the building is now used as the reception office of the Quest Hotel which is located at the rear
Year of construction: 1940
Full inscription: This building was dedicated to the worship of the Lord God Jesus Christ on the 25th of February 1940 by the Rev. R.H.Teed.
