FR L'église Saint-Martin, placée sous l'invocation de Saint-Martin, est une église de style roman située sur la commune de Saint-Martin-les-Eaux dans le département français des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence et la région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

L'église Saint-Martin et le village de Saint-Martin-les-Eaux est une ancienne dépendance du Prieuré de Carluc. L'église date du début du xiie siècle.

Menaçant de tomber en ruines en 1965, elle est restaurée à partir de 1967 par son acheteur, Jean-Marie Léouffre (deuxième prix du concours de Chefs-d'œuvre en péril) et rouverte au culte. Quelques reliefs ornant le second pilastre nord sont classés au titre objet.

Elle est inscrite au titre des Monuments historiques par arrêté du 11 février 1972.

L'église, de petites dimensions, comporte une nef de deux travées voûtées d’arêtes (second état succédant à une voûte en berceau)7 sans collatéraux. L'abside semi-circulaire présente une voûte en cul de four et est ornée d'une arcature de cinq baies cintrées, toutes aveugles sauf celle du centre. Ces baies sont encadrées d'élégantes colonnettes aux chapiteaux sculptés. Cette abside est précédée d'un arc triomphal surmonté de peintures murales et d'une travée de chœur assez importante eu égard à la taille réduite de l'édifice.
Dans la nef, les retombées des voûtes d’arêtes sont supportées par des culots ornés de motifs de palmettes. Sous l'un de ces culots figure un remarquable bas-relief représentant un lion. Un autre bas-relief de grand intérêt représente un taureau.

Le clocher porte 2 cloches.
EN The church of Saint-Martin, placed under the invocation of Saint-Martin, is a Romanesque church located in the commune of Saint-Martin-les-Eaux in the French department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

The church of Saint-Martin and the village of Saint-Martin-les-Eaux is an old dependency of the Priory of Carluc. The church dates from the beginning of the twelfth century.

Threatening to fall into ruins in 1965, it is restored from 1967 by its buyer, Jean-Marie Léouffre (second prize of the competition of masterpieces in peril) and reopened to the cult. Some reliefs decorating the second north pilaster are classified under the title object.

It is registered under the Historic Monuments by Order of February 11, 1972.

The church, of small dimensions, has a nave of two bays vaulted with ridges (second state succeeding a barrel vault) 7 without collateral. The semicircular apse has a vault in the bottom of the oven and is decorated with an arcade of five arched bays, all blind except that of the center. These bays are framed by elegant columns with sculpted capitals. This apse is preceded by a triumphal arch surmounted by wall paintings and a large choir span, considering the small size of the building.
In the nave, the falls of the vaults of ridges are supported by bases decorated with patterns of palmettes. Under one of these pillars is a remarkable bas-relief depicting a lion. Another bas-relief of great interest represents a bull.

The bell tower carries 2 bells.
